SISm CURRICULUM
Embark on a Journey of Excellence with Scholastic International School Myanmar (SISM)
KS3 and KS4 Curriculum
At Key Stage 3 (Year 7 to Year 9), students at SISM embark on an exhilarating journey of exploration and growth. They dive into a variety of subjects, including English, maths, science, languages, humanities, and ICT, building upon their prior knowledge while discovering new interests.
Students have the exciting opportunity to personalize their learning experience through the SISM Scholars Programme. This empowers them to explore their passions and aspirations, preparing them for (I)GCSE courses in Year 10. Electives offered through the Scholars Programme may include drama, public speaking, business management, sports leadership, app development, music, fitness, STEM challenges, art, social studies, and psychology.
This personalized approach not only cultivates essential skills like critical thinking and creativity but also provides students with enriching experiences that will shape their academic journey. Join us at SISM and let your child unleash their potential with passion and purpose!!
At Key Stage 4 (Year 10 and Year 11), SISM adopts a focused approach to examinations, allowing students to prioritize their studies by undertaking six IGCSE subjects. This streamlined approach ensures that students can concentrate on achieving top results in their chosen subjects, without spreading themselves too thin across numerous exams.
For subjects not covered in the IGCSE curriculum, students need not worry about missing out. These subjects are integrated into the prestigious Scholars Programme, where students have the opportunity to delve deeper into their interests and passions in a more comprehensive and enriching manner. Through the Scholars Programme, students can explore a wide range of subjects and extracurricular activities, including traditional arts, creative writing, music, drama, and cultural exchange programs. This holistic approach to education ensures that students receive a well-rounded educational experience, nurturing their talents and fostering their personal growth beyond the confines of traditional academics.
By participating in the Scholars Programme, students not only develop their skills and interests but also cultivate important life skills such as leadership, creativity, and global awareness. The Scholars Programme offers a dynamic platform for students to showcase their talents and achievements, providing them with a competitive advantage in their academic and professional pursuits.
SCHOLARS PROGRAMME INTEGRATION
The Scholars Programme at SISM is designed to provide exceptional students with additional opportunities for academic enrichment, leadership development, and community engagement.
